In Year 4, our children take part in The Linking Network. Our school linking programme gives our children a chance to work and socialise with others from different communities. Through the year, they exchange work between the classes and meet each other- first at a neutral venue and then at one another’s schools. It helps them reflect on their own identity and understand the importance of equality for all.  The whole experience is a valuable part of the curriculum learning. As a group, they aim to answer the four linking questions:

Who am I?

Who are we?

Where do we live?

How do we all live together?

On Thursday 16th January 2020, we met our Linking class for the second time - this time at Lowerplace. In partnership with Rochdale Borough Council, Cartwheel Arts and BellyflopTV, we created a film to accompany Dippy the Diplodocus at Number One Riverside as part of the 'Dippy on Tour' exhibit. We had an amazing time - check out the end product!
