From the 20th of April, Class Teachers will be using Class Dojo to give your children tasks to do at home. Please find below a guide on how to create a parent account to Class Dojo (Page 1) then how to find your child's portfolio (Page 2) which is where the tasks will be set. You will need to create a parent account first to be able to access your child's portfolio. You will receive an email from Class Dojo with the link to start making your account. (If you don't receive this soon, make sure you check your Junk or Spam folders in your email.)
Teachers will post a timetable of activities at the start of the week. Everyday there will be a:
- Writing activity
- Maths activity
- Reading activity (Reception, Year 1 and any Year 2's still accessing phonics will also be given the link to live RWInc lessons to access)
- And a 'Fun Challenge' which is optional and based on your child's topic this half term.
The activities will be added to your child’s portfolio the night before. Teachers will only be responding to messages and giving feedback to assignments between 9am and 3pm. If you want to submit work outside of these times you still can, but feedback will not be given until the next morning.
You can message or email the class page with any questions about the work that has been set. If you need any help with setting up your account, child’s portfolio or any technical support send an email to Miss Thomas at Year1@stmarysce.rochdale.sch.uk or send a private message to our Facebook page. Class Dojo also has an amazing helpdesk, full of FAQ’s and video tutorials: https://classdojo.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/categories/200185365-For-parents. You can find some useful links on Page 3 of your guide.
Thank you for your continued support,
